ZOJE Machine Tool Co., Ltd., founded in 1939, is a large backbone enterprise in the national machine tool industry and an important production base for horizontal boring machines, CNC milling and boring machines and milling and boring machining centers in China. In 2002, the company won the top ten enterprises in the NC output value of the machine tool industry. Since the country put forward the major guideline of "promoting industrialization with informatization, promoting informatization with industrialization, and realizing the leap forward development of social productivity", informatization has gradually become the main melody in the wave of China's industrialization acceleration. As a backbone enterprise with decades of history, the informatization construction of Zoje machine tool is urgent. The main problems are that the product has a long cycle from R & D to production, a large amount of design, up to 1000 drawings for each product, and up to 100000 electronic drawings of the design department. According to the drawings designed in series, the assembly relationship is complex, the design changes frequently, and the manual management is cumbersome. These problems are as follows:

design drawings and document management

Zoje's products are single piece, small batch, customized design, and tens of thousands of design drawings. There is no unified standard for traditional CAD software drawing, which results in that the drawings designed by an engineer and other engineers can not generate reports for the products of the drawings, but can only be counted by the designers. Marking the cumbersome details and reports has become the bottleneck of the design. Enterprises do not have the link of drawing and document management. They mostly rely on the file tools of the operating system to realize drawing and document management. When there are many user files, the management is extremely inconvenient and not intuitive. The information query method is single, and it is not convenient to sort by designer, time, product attribute, etc., so it is not convenient to query the required information. When the design drawings and documents are often modified to produce many versions, they are more effective and compatible with international standards; The drawings are easy to be lost or damaged due to inconvenient management and inconsistent storage methods of drawings and documents

serialization of product design

improving the serialization of products is an effective means to reduce the number of parts and shorten the product design cycle. However, the parts designed by each designer in different periods can not be fully and effectively used by other designers, and even for a long time, they can not find the corresponding parts themselves, resulting in the designers' inability to quickly and accurately find out similar parts. Although the factory has a set of modular management methods, because the types of experimental machines people contact vary greatly according to the needs of several users, it is impossible to fix a single module for management, resulting in frequent changes in each module. data security risks

strengthening the confidentiality of design drawings and design documents has always been a key consideration in the factory. The traditional paper-based data are kept by a specially assigned person, while CAD drawings and documents are kept in the form of electronic data. The degree of sharing is greatly improved, and the security of confidential information is also greatly threatened. The development of intranet network makes this form more severe. implementation process

in order to comply with the development of the enterprise, Zoje machine tool signed a PDM Project cooperation agreement with Exeter in August, 2003. The enterprise has put forward higher requirements for information construction, including higher security, availability, large data volume, high performance, etc. industry characteristics are also another focus. The project has experienced several parts from implementation to secondary development and product development, and achieved remarkable results

2) implement xtpdm r3.5 design data management, design change management, design process management and other modules

implementation steps
